Mirjam
Mirjam fell in love with crafting as a child, drawn to sewing, knitting, and woodworking. After moving across continents, she rediscovered her passion for handcrafts while studying product design in Berlin. There, she took wheel throwing classes and became captivated by ceramics. In Copenhagen, she refined her skills through coworking and an internship. After relocating to Barcelona, she developed a bat system prototype, leading to a collaboration with Ana—and thus, Barro Pottery Tools was born!
Ana
Ana, a ceramicist with a passion for craftsmanship, discovered clay at 13 and has been drawn to handmade creations ever since. Inspired by nature, she collects materials from the sea and rivers for her work. After studying industrial design in Madrid and working in interior design in Colombia, she moved to Barcelona to fully dedicate herself to ceramics. Seeing a need for unique pottery tools, she invited Mirjam to collaborate, leading to the creation of Barro Pottery Tools, merging nature with functionality.
