The Blue Vase is a sculptural ceramic vase, hand built from grogged clay and fired at a high temperature for exceptional durability. A muted blue glaze settles into the coarse texture of the clay, giving it a grounded, tactile presence.

A sturdy loop handle made from thick natural hemp rope anchors the piece, referencing ancient utilitarian ceramics and the long history of natural fibre in everyday objects, tied by hand with a simple, considered knot.

As a one of a kind piece, this exact vase is the one shown in the photographs, and it will not be reproduced. It works equally well holding dried grasses and branches or standing alone as a sculptural object on a shelf or table.

Made from high-fired stoneware, the ceramic body is easy to wipe clean. The natural hemp rope should be kept dry and out of the dishwasher.
