The Lake Container is a handmade stoneware kitchen canister, wheel thrown in Barcelona and designed to bring order and warmth to everyday storage. Ideal for coffee, tea, sugar, salt or other dry ingredients, it combines practical function with a calm, handcrafted presence on open shelving or a countertop of any contemporary kitchen.

Part of the Lake Collection, the container carries deep coffee-brown tones with soft green variations that may appear naturally during firing, the result of minerals, glaze, clay and the kiln atmosphere interacting in ways that can never be fully controlled. As with every stoneware kitchen canister in this collection, no two pieces develop exactly the same tonal transition, so each container brings its own quiet character to the kitchen.

The lid handle is made from a raw branch, hand-stripped of bark, sanded smooth and sealed with beeswax, then tied to the ceramic body with natural bulrush fibre cord. It rests over a piece of raw linen fabric that helps create a softer seal. Together, these materials bring texture and warmth, and reinforce the handcrafted character of the piece, setting it apart from a conventional kitchen jar.

Made from high-fired stoneware, the Lake Container is sturdy and built to be part of daily kitchen routines for many years, while its natural lid materials ask for a little extra care to keep their character intact over time.
